Coach Shawn is embarking on his 33rd year of transformative coaching and player development in hockey. With 17 years of experience at the Junior A level, he has been instrumental in guiding countless players to NCAA Division I and III programs, and many have successfully transitioned to the professional ranks.

In 2014, Coach Shawn established the FL Bulldogs to fill a need to provide long-term player development in Central Florida. His focus has been on teaching the games and developing players to reach the next level.

In 2017, Coach Shawn established the FL Alliance Girls Program, where he has passionately dedicated himself to empowering young female athletes to pursue their hockey dreams at the NCAA Division I and III levels.

Coach Shawn is deeply committed to long-term player development. He employs meticulous teaching strategies, ensures repetitive practice for skill mastery, and designs progressive drills that continually challenge his players. His innovative approach fosters a growth mindset and inspires athletes to reach their full potential on and off the ice.
