Originally from Rochester, NY, Corey participated in local Tier 1 Travel youth hockey followed by one year of High School Hockey as a sophomore. He quickly moved up to play Junior hockey for the Rochester Junior Americans for two seasons before graduating highschool. In the 2006-07' collegiate season Corey played with the SUNY Morrisville Mustangs, where the Team captured the National Championship title and Corey was selected in his Freshman year for the NJCAA All-Region Team as a defenseman. Corey continued on with SUNY Morrisville in their inaugural NCAA Division III SUNYAC season, followed by two years playing for the Rochester Institute of Technology Tigers ACHA Division I club hockey program.

Corey has led the Florida Bulldogs 10U program to several tournament Championship titles and the 2024-25 SAHOF State Championship Runner-up. He is currently a Level 3 Hockey coach with USA Hockey and enjoys pouring back into the game for all ages.
