Coach Mace was born in Montreal, Canada but moved with his family to Michigan around the age of one. Coach Mace took advantage of the hockey in the Metro Detroit area; playing from the time he was a Mite all the way through Juniors with the Paddock Pools Junior B Team in Detroit.

Coach Mace started his coaching career in the mid 80s and has over 40 years of coaching experience between the Garden City Area (Michigan) and the Orlando Area. During this time he has coached travel teams ranging from A to AAA.

Bruce has been a Floridian since 1992. Since he arrived in the Sunshine State he had severed for 4 years on the SAHOF Board and the OYHA Board for 2 years, respectively. Coach Mace is a USA Hockey Certified Level 4 Coach and has amassed a wealth of knowledge to share with the young up and coming players.
